Is my otter box for my blackberry making my phone freeze?

When I bought my otter box for my blackberry torch 9800, The att rep told me to put the back piece on first and then the face plate otherwise the case will push on the buttons on the top of ur phone and freeze it. I hope this helps u! Good luck!
