How does asxual reproduction differ from sexual reproduction?

Asexual reproduction is much faster because it doesn't require a partner, however if conditions are unfavorable the whole population would be in danger because asexual reproduction doesn't offer the genetic diversity sexual reproduction can, since it involves swapping genes, and not just splitting a parent cell.
