How to buy pads and tampons without being awkward!!!!?

To be honest, after working in a pharmacy for several years, I can honestly tell you the best way to buy anything like that or condoms is to just pick the damn things up and walk to the counter like you're buying a coke. The staff have sold them a million times, to us it's just like selling a coke. If you loiter around the pads for an hour then leave then come back then hover then hang out down 2 more aisles then finally get the courage to come to the counter you draw far more attention to yourself. Just pick them up, walk to the counter and think coke coke coke. If a woman serves you, trust me she isn't gonna be shocked at the amount/range of things you buy, she probably bought all those and more with her shop three days before.
